MMYYKK’s New album ‘The Midst Of Things’ Out Now

Today, experimental Minneapolis-based musician and instrumentalist MMYYKK unveils his forward thinking masterpiece, ‘The Midst Of Things’, a breathtaking journey into a world where soul, space jazz and hip-hop converge with the boundless possibilities of MMYYKK’s experimental soundscapes. Named by The Guardian as ‘neo-soul’s new high priest’, the artist’s highly anticipated sophomore offering was written against the backdrop of the pandemic and the disturbing events that unfolded in Minneapolis in 2020 and grapples with themes of love, self-reflection and community.

The album boasts all-star collaborations that add unique dimensions to MMYYKK's sonic landscape, featuring the killer flow of Ricki Monique, visionary rap talent of Kaleem The Dream, and virtuosic artistry of trumpeter Omar Abdulkarim. ‘The Midst Of Things’ is released independently and follows MMYYKK’s acclaimed EP ‘Science’ which came out in 2021 on Rhythm Section records. 

MMYYKK has garnered a dedicated following and continues to make waves in the industry, embarking on musical explorations centred on themes of love, humanity, healing, and higher consciousness.
